My name is Katie Bailey and I am a board certified Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and proceeded to start my nursing career working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. I worked there for several years where I cared for children of all ages through life threatening illnesses and hardships. During this time, I realized my passion for mental health and helping patients and their families through these difficult times. This led me to pursue a job in the inpatient child and adolescent mental health unit where I worked side by side with children and adolescents along with their families in learning coping strategies, life skills, medication management, symptom management, and so much more. I loved this time in my career and felt like I had found my purpose as a nurse. I wanted to continue to learn and grow in my career and decided to go back to school and become a Nurse practitioner. I attended Wayne State University and graduated with my Masters of Science in Nursing and became a board certified Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. As a nurse practitioner I work with patients of all ages and help them navigate through some of the most difficult times of their lives. I am passionate about working with children, teens, adolescents, and their families while also helping those who are already in adulthood. I look forward to caring for you and your loved ones!
