My approach to therapy is collaborative. Let’s work together to uncover barriers to reaching your goals, and work toward finding a sense of peace and contentment. Life can be hard and when you add in experiences like trauma, anxiety, depression, divorce, loss, and other difficulties, a person can begin to feel lost and stuck. Together we can uncover your strengths and develop new skills that can help make change happen.
I use a variety of approaches in practice. I pull from different schools of psychology including cognitive behavioral, Gestalt, self-psychology and structural family therapy for example. I understand that every person has different needs and I use approaches that I feel best fit my clients’ needs. Underlying any approach I use, is a strong sense of compassion, empathy, and commitment to our work together.
I am a licensed Master’s level psychologist in the state of Michigan. I have experience working with children, teens, adults, and couples and families who are facing a variety of difficulties. It takes courage and strength to reach out for help. I look forward to working with you!
